HAUS: A SMART SPEAKER
Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Concept Development, Materials Research, Rendering, 3D PRINTING
Group Project (5), Spring '17
Student projects are often developed without the need to undergo critical refinement by engineering to ensure the product is in fact, manufacturable. This is a luxury. Design for manufacturing enables us as designers to understand the limitations we face when manufacturing our designs. We must take into consideration the materials used, the manufacturing processes used to create molds and parts, tolerances, and assembly. This project's sole purpose is to understand what it takes to manufacture a smart speaker.
